The Journal of the Stomatological Society (JSS) is published triannually, in April, July, and November, under the supervision of the JSS Editorial Committee. This committee is responsible for the selection of all materials submitted for publication.
The JSS originated as the official journal of the Stomatological Society and has evolved into a leading publication in the field, disseminating new knowledge and information across all disciplines relevant to dentistry, the oral cavity, and associated structures in both health and disease. The journal encompasses all diagnostic and clinical management aspects necessary to re-establish subjective and objective harmonious oral aesthetics and functions.

The first author of an article published in this journal must be a member of the Society. Articles must be suitable for the journal’s purpose and must not have been previously published in other journals. However, exceptions may be granted with the approval of the Society’s Editorial Committee.
Upon acceptance of an article is for publication, the authors are required to assign the copyright of the article to the Stomatological Society.
Articles published in the journal are categorized as follows: Review Articles, Original Articles, Case Reports, and Technical Reports. The JSS requires publication fee. Please contact the Secretariat for further details. The corresponding author is required to pay a publication fee upon acceptance notification. Articles will not be published until a fee has been received.
1.Review Articles should generally not exceed 4,000 words and include a maximum of seven figures and tables. Review Articles requested by the Editorial Board are exempt from the publication fee.
1. Manuscripts should be written clearly in English and typed with double spacing in 11- or 12-point font on an A4-sized paper. The manuscript must begin with a title page that includes the study title (within 25 words), article type, short title (within 10 words) for use as the running head, three?five keywords, authors' full names and affiliations, and full contact information for the corresponding author, including the postal address, telephone/fax numbers, and email address. The total number of pages in the text, tables, and figures is indicated at the bottom of the title page.
2. For Review Articles, Original Articles, Case Reports, and Technical Reports, the abstract (up to 250 words) should appear on the page immediately following the title page. The abstract of an Original Article should briefly describe the Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusion. The style of abstracts for Review Articles, Case Reports, and Technical Reports is flexible.
3. Original Articles should be structured as follows: Ⅰ. Introduction, Ⅱ. Materials and Methods, Ⅲ. Results, Ⅳ. Discussion, Ⅴ. Conclusion, and References. Review Articles have a free format.
4. Case Reports should be structured as follows: Ⅰ. Introduction, Ⅱ. Case Summary, Ⅲ. Discussion, Ⅳ. Conclusion, and References.
5. Authors may use an English language editing service to eliminate potential grammatical or spelling errors and ensure correct scientific English. Editors may request that authors employ such services during the review process.
6. Digits should be written in Arabic numerals
7. All figures (photographs) and tables should be attached at the end of the manuscript and indicated as Figure 1, Table 1, etc.
7-1. Figures (photos) will be printed with a width of 8 or 17 cm and a height of 20 cm. Please consider the reduction ratio when text is added.
7-2. For color printing, please indicate this upon submission.
8. Units should generally follow the SI unit system.
9. References are indicated by numbers(s) in square brackets, in line with the text. Authors may be referred to, but the corresponding reference number(s) must always be provided.
10. Number the listed references (numbers in square brackets) in the order they appear in the text.

Manuscripts reporting research involving human subjects submitted to the JSS must adhere to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. Manuscripts should include a statement confirming approval by the appropriate ethics committees of the institution(s) involved. Informed consent must be obtained from all subjects. Studies involving animals must state that their care was in accordance with institutional guidelines. Patient and volunteer names, initials, and hospital numbers must not be used.
At the end of the text, under the "Conflict of Interest Statement," all authors must disclose any financial and personal relationships with other persons or organizations that could inappropriately influence or cause bias in their work.
This journal uses a blind review process. All submissions will undergo an initial assessment by the editor to determine their suitability. Manuscripts deemed suitable are then typically forwarded to minimum of two independent expert reviewers for scientific quality assessment. The editor retains ultimate responsibility for the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of submitted articles.

Manuscripts should be submitted as Word files attached to an email addressed to the editorial director or secretary. Image files may be submitted in TIFF or JPEG format. Attached files must not exceed 10 MB. Files exceeding this limit should be submitted using a file transfer system. Submission slips and copyright ownership consent forms must be submitted to the editorial secretary in paper or in scanned format.
