This society was established in 1978 for the purpose of developing and improving science and technology related to materials used in human and their applications. Internationally, we are one of the constituent societies of The International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Science and Engineering (IUSBSE) and actively engage in international exchanges. In addition, we publish "Journal of Japanese Society for Biomaterials - Seitai Zairyou", hold Annual Meeting, and conduct activities such as holding educational seminars.
