The Guidelines Working Committee is responsible for the development of standard clinical guidelines for managing the safety of dental procedures or at pain clinics. Our guidelines are prepared in accordance with the "Evidence-based medical care" procedure manual by the Working Group of the Japanese Dental Society of Anesthesiology consisting of board-certified dental anesthesiology specialists.
This site introduces the English translation of the guidelines. We welcome comments, recommendations, and criticisms on this English version from dental anesthesia providers in other countries.
The purpose of the guidelines is to support medical treatment, but without restricting the discretion of the dentist or physician or limiting medical treatment. How these guidelines are used in the clinical setting should be determined by the patient's needs and the expert knowledge and experience of the dentist or physician.
